Guest guest
way to go Mozart! linda rn you must email me about enzymes! B-5 / Choline up-date… or 61 going on 17 !!!!!!!!!! B-5 / Choline up-date. or 61 going on 17I hope that this info helps someone avoid the 10 years of sexual frustration that I went through. It has been a full month since I started taking B-5, Choline and Arginine ; (See below) the results are so far off the charts that I have to wonder if this can last. Today was an astounding day, my girl friend and I had sex three times; after lunch I had an incredible orgasm, we then went for a bike ride and a swim then had a second session where I had four more orgasms in about 30 minutes. After a short nap we went to a rock concert but left early to go home and have sex again, no orgasm but an enjoyable session never the less. The sex keeps getting better and better. I was always very sexually active before the SSRIs but I do not recall anything close to what I am experiencing now.During the last 30 days we have had sex on twenty-five days, often more than once a day. I reached an orgasm about every other day. The erections last for 10-30 minutes and are very firm.We have been dating for 15 months, in the first 4 months I was unable to achieve an erection. Using various sexual stimulants such as Ejaculoid, horny goat weed, etc. in the months following I was able to reach orgasm about twice a month, but the erections were not very satisfying and generally lasted for less then a minute or two, there was not much feeling. I have not had libido issues only a lack of erection and feeling.I am 61 but I feel like a 17 year old sexually and the B vitamins have given me an enormous amount of energy in general, I am getting a lot done, very much like when I first took Zoloft. My brain is flooded with endorphins from all the sex and it is hard for me to sort out which is the chicken and which is the egg but I have never felt better in my life.As Fred Flintstone used to say. YUBBA- DUBBA-DOOO !!!!!AMPMy original post:Feeling returned great sex experiencedI was formerly subscribed to this forum but have not read or followed it forseveral years but I have come across something that may be of interest. I wouldwelcome some of you to try this and see if you get the same result that I do.I took Paxil and Zoloft from 1993-1996 and lost 95% of the feeling in my penisas a result. I was still able to have sex but I was doing it from memory, therewas very little sensation. I am now 60 and had just about given up the idea ofever having a normal sex life again. I was able to have an occasional weakerection about once or twice a month using a product called Ejaculoid but it didnot work every time I used it.I recently found an article on an internet form after reading about how B-5,Choline and the amino acid L-Arginine are used in the treatment of Alcoholism torestore the neural pathways in the book "7 Weeks to Sobriety", (see link below). As an aside I do not consume alcohol on a regular basis. This got me to thinkingabout my problem and why I have been unable to function normally and whether mypathways were not functioning.I have tried using Choline and B-5 in a 3 to one ratio, 1500mg Choline and 500mgB-5 30 minutes before sex with phenomenal results, I also take 500mg. ofL-Arginine 3 times a day, total 1500 mg. The feeling that I thought was goneforever has return. The effect has actually worked overnight when morning sexwas performed without any supplements. While I do not have an ejaculation everytime, I am not concerned as I think this is more a function of my age.Bottom line, I now believe that this problem IS reversible and this may givesome clues on what else can be done along this line.AMPhttp://www.smartbodyz.com/Sex-Drive-support-l-arginine-choline-vitamin-B5-dl-phe\nylalanine.htmSex Drive Support - L-Arginine, Choline, Vitamin B5 B-5, DL-PhenylalanineL-ArginineIn the 1990's, scientists discovered that l-arginine, a non-essential amino acidcommonly found in the diet, is an oxidative precursor of nitric oxide (NO). L-Arginine works to increase both the levels and activity of nitric oxide, leading to increased cGMP resulting in increased blood flow to the genitals. Researchers at New York University School of Medicine gave L-arginine to a groupof impotent men, and found that six out of 15 men receiving the amino acidclaimed an improved ability, while none of the 15 men in the placebo groupreported any benefits.Choline and Vitamin B-5Sexual arousal occurs not just in the genitals but in the whole body and, especially, in the brain. For men, it actually begins when the brain sendsimpulses down the spinal cord and out to the nerves that serve the penis. Theseimpulses trigger the production of nitric oxide (NO), which causes penilearteries to dilate and the spongy core of the penis to relax and become engorgedwith blood. The neurotransmitter that carries the sexual message isacetylcholine (ACh) which is important for women, too.Numerous studies confirm a key role for cholinergic nerve transmission in sexualresponses. Simply speaking, with too little ACh, sex drive / sexual health candecline. Increase ACh levels, and sexual activity goes up. ACh is involved inthe build-up toward orgasm and the urethral and vaginal contractions that occurduring orgasm as well as the subjective perception of orgasm intensity andduration. In addition to its direct role in sex drive support, ACh is also the primarychemical the body uses to transmit signals from nerves to skeletal muscles, themuscles that move the body. You need this chemical for muscular control andproper muscle tone. There is reason to believe that enhancing cholinergicneuromuscular transmission will enhance your energy and stamina by raising yourACh levels and that this can provide indirect sexual benefits. While drugs can enhance the body's cholinergic activity, these drugs not onlyhave unpleasant or even dangerous side effects but are available only byprescription. One way to safely and effectively enhance ACh levels is to takesupplements of choline / vitamin B5. Or, the full menu of Life Extension Mix (amulti-vitamin/mineral formula) contains generous amounts of B5 and choline (asphosphatidylcholine). Another form of choline can be found in Cognitex underthe name Glycerylphosphorylcholine (GPC).Vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid or calcium pantothenate, appears toenhance endurance:When a person is in a state of deficiency ... as most are who depend on food forB5 and,Since an ample amount is needed for creating ACh from choline, it is paramountin its role in the energy-producing Krebs Cycle which is vital for all livingcells. An early indication that vitamin B5 might enhance physical endurance came from astudy in which rats were placed into a tank filled with cool (64°F) water andforced to swim until they became exhausted. Prior to their swim, the rats'diets had included either high, adequate, or deficient levels of vitamin B-5. The high dose rats lasted more than four times as long as those whose diet hadbeen B-5 deficient. In another experiment, pieces of frog muscle werestimulated electrically to make them twitch. The stimulation continued untilthe muscle became exhausted. Muscle tissue that was bathed in vitamin B-5 haddouble the work output as the control muscle. [Ralli, 1953].Dosage and TimingExperienced users recommend taking choline plus vitamin B5 (or B-5 by itself)about 20 to 30 minutes before sex in order to get the full effect right from thestart. But, notes one user, "Don't worry if you start too soon, it'll kick inas you're going." He adds, "Not everybody will notice it, but if you set aclock, you'll notice that you have the energy to go longer. Pretty mucheveryone I've told about B-5 has experienced that effect."Combinations that many people have found effective include three times as muchcholine as B-5 (for example, 500-1,000 mg of B-5 in combination with 1,500-3,000mg of choline). It is probably wise to begin with lower doses in this sameratio, and gradually increase the dose as tolerated.DL-PhenylalanineSeveral lines of evidence link activity of the neurotransmitter dopamine in thebrain with sexual behavior. Generally, it appears that higher levels ofdopamine are associated with more sexual interest and vice versa. Increasedbrain dopamine activity caused by taking the drug L-dopa is believed to be thecause of a "hypersexuality" syndrome in people who take the drug for Parkinson'sdisease.L-dopa is a chemical precursor of dopamine (which in turn, is a precursor ofnorepinephrine). In other words, the body uses L-dopa to make dopamine. L-dopais available only by prescription but you can also increase your brain dopaminelevels by taking the non-prescription amino acids that the body uses to makeL-dopa -- tyrosine and/or phenylalanine. L-Theanine, an extract from green teaalso is a dopamine enhancer to consider.People who have lost interest in sex because they are depressed may benefit fromtaking doses of 100 to 500 milligrams of DL-phenylalanine. Supplements ofvitamin B-6, vitamin C, folic acid and copper, may help maximize the conversionof L-dopa to dopamine.
