Guest guest
Does anyone that has been NT for several years have any problems with osteoarthritis? Don't you just hate it when you start typing and it ends up being a really long email and then you end up answering the questions you started out asking?? Used to happen to me at work all the time (back pre-baby when I did work). <sigh> I started researching late last night via the internet on how the body’s ability to manufacture glucosamine is impaired as we age. I looked on Onibasu and found some information there, too. But what I was really looking for, apart from the intricate detail of how the body makes or tries to repair cartilage, (needing to know everything is a curse I tell you!) was the role that diet plays rather than trying to patch up the body with supplements, IYKWIM. Anyway my search and ramblings eventually led to bone broths or stock containing gelatin and the Asian practice of eating prawn shells (as told to us by Heidi). So now I will cut a long email short...grrr.... On another note - I managed to get an Inter Library Loaned copy of Nourishing Traditions today. Yep, will have to buy this one. It's a keeper. Ended up looking through there for references on cartilage and gelatin as well. Hope you are all having as much fun as I am
