Carlson's CLO isn't very high in vitamin A (especially compared to high-vitamin like Radiant Life's and Blue Ice). I don't think there's any way you could be taking in too much vitamin A with what you're taking. The only vitamin A is in the CLO, if the others are vegetarian, which means they probably are carotenes, not vitamin A, which don't, afaik, contribute to vitamin A toxicity. Chris ____ " What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the truth, and for those who do them wrong. Guest guest
I am wondering if i am getting to much Vit. A. I take a multi-vit and Carlsons CLO. I alternate with The Wild Oats brand and Alive! brand. It looks like both supply Vit A in vegetarian forms. The Wild Oats " super one daily " says that it supplies 160% and the Alive! brand per 3 capsules supplies 300% but i normally take 2 and not 3. I also am taking about a tablespoon of the CLO. I am combating some significant osteoarthritis and while my eating has improved a lot, i am trying to cover all the bases. However i don't want to overdo either. Thanks for any help Kathy A. Guest guest
<<I think by vegetarian form of vitamin A they mean it doesn't have any vitamin A.>> Thanks, that was what i thought, i just had a moment of panic thinking that i might have missed something and was overdosing. I know that the articles on WAP talk about how the conversion of veg. Vit A such as the ones in the vitamins that i use (retinol palmitate & beta carotene) are really lousy with the utilization rate range anywhere from 4:1 to 16:1. When i actually read the label i was surprised to read 300% for Vit. A. and it startled me. I mean really, if it has 300% of the RDA that has to say that it is not being utilized very well. Kathy A.
