You do NOT speak for all parents who have lost a child, believe me.

You want to have the attitude that it's an exclusive club of grief

without self-destruction, fine, but don't put that impetuous statement

out there without taking the heat for it.

Remember, I lost a child, and I am still alive to talk about it. I

realize you don't have the experience of it, but trust me, it is one

of the top stressors for humans out there. And please do take care if

you question me on this as it is a very sensitive issue that cannot be

understood without at least the experience of having children.

Parents usually say, " I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my

child. " And they are right, but they are at least closer to

understanding it.

Whoa Robin,

I certainly have no market on grief and meant no offense. It wasn't

impetuous, it was only my own feelings and experience being shared for

the benefit of whom with I had had heated words earlier. I only

wanted him to know that it was important to me that we not blindly spar

about it. He understood. It has been well over a decade since my son

died. Grief is unique and no one knows what it is like for this

reason. Perhaps I should have been more inclusive in my remarks that

death of any loved one is traumatic AND unique.

I just decided to change my signed name to " Robin Ann " because this

is a different Robin Deanna is speaking to and it might be

confusing. It was a surprise to me! ~Robin Ann

Duly noted. Grief is a demanding creature for any of us who've

experienced it, no matter the reason.
