Guest guest
: >It was disturbing to hear about the poor health of many children - >a paediatric specialist was talking about children as young as five with >severe digestive problems - although considering the diets he mentioned it >wasn't surprising e.g. a Kit Kat and a fizzy drink for breakfast, nuggets >for lunch and nuggets and chips for the evening meal. And of course what's disturbing to ME is that most of those kids will never be tested for food intolerances! " Severe digestive disturbances " are also caused by gluten/milk issues, even without the Kit-kat bars, and those intolerances *also* cause a lot of behavior problems. The average SAD is 60% allergen-based, probably more now that there is so much soy and corn. That's really making progress though, to have doing that on TV! Discover this month had a great article on nutrients and mental problems, including the bit about how prison inmates responed so well to just having vitamin supplements (you can read it online, I think, even if you don't subscribe, it's on the their main page). Wait a year or so and you'll be seeing some good shows about the intolerance issue too! Heidi Jean
