Guest guest
Hi. I'm new here, and fairly new to the work. I'm just getting down to one of my deeper issues - my addiction. I've shied away from it because I haven't been able to form a statement that the work will not tell me is false. Yes, this sounds good - but that is like telling someone that if you don't believe that stepping in front of a speeding bus will hurt or kill you, it won't. Perhaps it won't - but do you really want to try it? Should I be lead to believe that I am not addicted, my experience tells me I will be standing in front of that bus. Has anyone here worked a 12-step program deeply, consistently and successfully, and then done the work on their addiction? Could you please share your experience, and any insights with me? I would be most grateful Thanks. LadyF
