posting - changing subject lines

Why is there so much subject changing these days, even when the

subject of the thread hasn't changed?

I would kindly ask that people be very judicious when changing the

subject. If the topic has truly changed and gone off in some other

direction then change it, followed by the original topic.

If it hasn't or is still within the same general subject matter then

its probably best that you leave it alone. It probably doesn't matter

to those of you who don't group your messages by thread, but it would

still be a nice convention to follow for those of us who do. Even a

minor tweaking of the subject line throws thread filters off.

Oh and don't hesitate using " POLITICS " when that is required as per

the rules of this list (the tag encompasses both politics and

religion).
