Guest guest
, Wow! What a story! If you aren't leading a chapter, you sure should be. Raw dairy is difficult for me to acquire as well. I buy imported butter from Europe and New Zealand, as it is always more yellow than any US organic variety. >I like butter on steamed veggies. It is again the trick of getting the butter (or any fat) into the yolks and making it stay. Nothing beats the double boiler and a whisk. Forget the blender for this as well. I hereby dub thee Butter Queen! May all your butter sauces be divine! May you learn and share all things butter with us as you journey on. Feed your family well, Deanna

After a few days pretty butter free due to travel I just ate a pound of steamed peas and carrots along with about a third of a cup of fantastic raw butter. Yum. If I had more money and time to devote to practicing the WAPF skills, I would. There are now 2 chapters in Oklahoma, however. I'm glad to see them come. There were none in 2002 when I started reading WAPF articles. > Raw dairy is difficult for me to acquire as well. I can't tell DH where the traditional sauerkraut comes from because it's so expensive. And I don't think I've ever told him where the free range eggs come from. He's always going, " Now how much did THAT cost? " Even though the eggs are $1.50 a dozen, I know they're a bargain for what I get! > I like Hollandaise on my veggies. Forget the blender for this as well. Ummmm...I think I'll try that. Good idea. Though I was thinking about using the mayo in chicken salad or something else that really needs added healthy fat. > > I hereby dub thee Butter Queen! I hereby accept this honor. (waving with curved hand, ala Queen E.) I am proud to carry the banner of Butter for Healthy Babies to all the saddened masses who have lived their lives sans butter, and now live to regret it. May their lives be enriched as mine has been by the pure delight which is butter, and by as many beautiful, healthy children as they can handle. ;-)
