Guest guest
I have not ever used a water bed, but my mother and father had one for many, many years. My mother had many autoimmune diseases including arthritic disorders. She felt most comfortable in her water bed which had a heater. She said that she did not wake up with arms or legs " asleep " since the water supported her body without constricting the blood flow. Toward the end of her life she refused hospital admissions because she could not get comfortable in a hospital bed compared to her water bed at home. They had the old style water bed that could have the large " waves " but later switched to the kind with baffles of water in separate enclosed sections. Yes, the sheets were hard to change on their Kingsized bed. Either my father did it for her or she got a friend to help her until she could no longer do any kind of housework. As the years creep by with my own arthritic pains I often wonder if a water bed might have benefits. I have the same questions about the space-age memory foam beds similar to what the astronauts use. Can't remember the name of the company. Ray
