,

I hope the weather is nice come manana. Great story.

We have 4 ft high chicken wire pen, cuz the cats are really interested

in them. These chickens lurve tomatoes! I made 1/2 gallon of NT

fermented salsa yesterday and saved all the tomato tops for 'em. They

went to town and I chopped up an extra whole one. This morning, I made

cornbread, we opened the door and they came right up to the fence where

I was throwing it. Can you say spoiled chicks? They have been yard

birds since day one, I think. Raspberry Rooster wants out of the pen.

I am sure he's big enough to fend for himself, so in a day or so I'll

let him loose from that Hazel Hen who won't let him near the good food

and those pesky babies.

I asked my neighbor how ever could I thank her for these fine birds.

She said she's got 9 eggs that her Red is laying on, and that I could

thank her by taking some more soon. Never a dull moment. They are so

fun to sit and watch.

Don't forget your camera tomorrow. We want to see them.
