It doesn't give that much detail, even as long as it is (a complete account runs to 13 pages). I have a more specific question though. Back in 1997, when my problems had been going on for 2 years, I came upon a description of hypochlorhydria, low stomach acid, and I thought, " Bingo! " It was the first time I had seen a description of my symptom--getting full on small amounts of food. A test with vinegar seemed to be positive, so I rushed out and bought some Hcl. I took one and had a hugely bad reaction. I had enormous trouble eating for weeks, and never really recovered. Then last year, after I had been on the Warrior Diet for some time and was eating normal food again but still having a hard time with indigestion, I tried it again. I think I took one enzyme capsule which contained some Hcl on an empty stomach, and did not have any bad reaction. So I bought some Hcl and took one before eating, and again, a bad reaction that left me unable to eat much after that; again, I've never recovered my previous digestive capacity. In 1997, after I had the bad episode with the Hcl, I went to a naturopathic clinic and had a Heidelberg test. The doctor told me that it indicated that my stomach acid was sufficient, although I have doubts about this. He seemed sort of hesitant about it, and I was so much stressing how my mind seemed greatly involved in my digestive problems that he may not have wanted to have me thinking that my stomach acid was insufficient for fear of making the situation worse, especially since my bad experience with the Hcl may have left him no good recourse for treatment. And he really didn't help me at all. Yesterday I was looking at some old posts here about Hcl supplementation. I saw that one person had success with taking it after a meal, and that someone else said that you should take it at the start of a meal, or maybe after a few bites. I think my first time I took it before eating anything, and the second time I'm not sure, I may have had a couple of bites first, but maybe not. Also there's the issue that the gastric secretions that protect the stomach lining from Hcl might be low as well. My first attempt to get back to the way I was eating last summer, with the primary emphasis on meat and good fat, went badly last night, and I'm thinking about Hcl again, that maybe there's a way I can do it differently that would work. Can anyone suggest anything? By the way, I see that people's names are displayed on the message list next to their messages with their alias, but mine isn't.
