My question is - has anyone actually ever *seen* an 8 in a grocery store?

Pratick,

I saw some labeled 8 for the first time last year. They were some unusual

looking plums that they were obviously targeting toward children. There were

several colors and they had spots on them and they called them " dinosaur eggs " .

Ugghhh...

I was trying to tell a friend about the codes a month or two ago, but I

couldn't remember the codes. So I figured it was easy enough to check.

Unfortunately, that didn't help much, because when we checked items

containing high fructose corn syrup (even as a first or second ingredient),

figuring that was a likely target, there were no 8's.

Maybe I'll snoop around later today - have to go to the store anyway.

What about the four digit codes that start with a 6. I find them in the

organic produce section, and they seem to be imported produce from other

countries. I have yet to see produce labeled with an 8 anywhere.

Right, sorry, I forgot those codes were only for produce. Silly moi.
