Wow, for the first time in my life I may actually cross picket lines.

Always a plus -- if the food is good.

Speaking of which, can anyone who's been to the conference before advise me

on the necessity of taking along food?

Considering that it doesn't look like I could eat a complete meal there, I

might be inclined to agree...

Hah! I wish. Maybe in a year. Next month I can just astound with

garden-variety feats of minimal physical competence.

Only three? ONLY THREE? <fuming and trying to figure out how to fit 2

gallons of chili and 20# of butter into my already-stuffed single freezer>

Well, you're welcome to some of the garlic I grew this year, too, if it

meets your exacting standards. I haven't even tried any of it myself yet.

Won't require fridge space even.

" Garden-variety " ... hey , I think just volunteered for

sassafras-digging! I shall paint his name on a shovel forthwith.

" Retraction " ? That's what heretics are asked to do, not scientists.

So where on that humongous site is his refutation of your article,

Chris?

Sorry, his website is cqs.com, I messed up. " Refutation? " He's not

that kind of guy. I just asked him if when I add an appendix

responding to criticisms if he'd like me to attribute his criticisms

to him personally or if he'd prefer they remain anonymous, and he said

" Please don't put in my criticisms at all, in either format. I am not

interested in providing fodder for this trash. "

He does have his own dioxin article though that's full of inaccuracies

and sensationalized phrases that are designed to take advantage of his

reader's lack of background in cell biology.
