Phil,

What a rare treat! Have you tried one fresh? They're so fiber-rich, I doubt

they're high-glycemic, and they're a very sensual fruit - they are to fruit as

sea urchins are to shellfish, if you catch my drift.

Do you have a recipe for them? Everything I've found on the web is with American

canning methods.

I've never tried, but I'd imagine they'd ferment just fine. The only trick

would be to make sure you don't wind up with alcoholic figs, since they're

so sweet.
