Terry,

Glad you are feeling better! I don't know very much about migraines-are

they triggered by the same types of things as your asthma or is it a

whole different set of triggers to avoid? I've seen quite a few

asthmatics who also have migraines and was just curious if there is any

connection between the two.

Best wishes,

Oh, I did too. I've found now, if I get one of those horrid

headaches, ventolin works better to get rid of it than advil.

Hi Terry,

Are you taking feverfew for the migraines?

What are they putting in the water in MD to produce such caring

Doctors and people???

Don't get me wrong, my Doctors are really nice, but what happened to

you takes the cake!

What's feverfew? I take Midrin (the Generic of it and it's amazing!)

It really works takes about an hour but works and so far does NOT

effect my asthma numbers at all.

Terry, my migraines started after a mild head injury. However, now, they are usually triggered by a either a lack of or too much sleep, impending bad weather or sickness. Everyone has different triggers and different fixes for their migraines which makes them hard to diagnose & treat.

For me when I have a migraine coming on, I have a strange sensation in my nasal sinuses and they feel overstuffed. Then I get a headache that starts between my eyes and usually ends up on one side of my head. For the most part, my headache is more of a heavy heavy pressure vs sharp pains. But I also get nauseous and occasionally it goes beyond nauseous. IF I dont ignore the initial feeling in my facial area and take Ibuprofen right away I end up flat out. IF I take the Ibuprofen and lay on the couch, as dark as possible, so that my head is pressed against the armrest in the areas where I feel pressure I am usually ok in a few hours. If I ignore it, well, I end up dealing with it for a day or two.Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008.
