Guest guest
I believe zinc oxide cuts out the UV rays completely, so that would explain no tan at all. Since a certain amount of sun is actually beneficial, as long as we don't burn, if it were me, I'd be using the 2 months to safely build up a bit of a tan (in my case, a very small bit of tan that would still look white to everyone else!). Start with 5 mins a day each side, around about 11am if poss, on as much of your body as poss, and build up to 10-15 (or more if you're dark skinned). Then you will be able to take a certain amount of sun exposure, and have less risk of burning. And when you now you're going to exceed tour safe amount, and can;t cover up with clothes, then use something like 's zinc oxide cream. Coconut oil is good for some people for after sun, but isn;t a sunscreen. A more sophisticated cream can be made adding hot water and stearic acid but I haven't yet bothered. I went to Hawaii in January for ten days and came back with absolutely zero tan, which I blame on my homemade sunscreen. B.

Every pharmacy I've asked at says they've never heard of it, and that they carry only the ointment. > ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Canfield -God grades on the cross, not on the curve. -Anonymous 3:36: " He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
