[] Does anyone have a tastey egg nog recipe? I don't like it

when it tastes too strong.

[MAP] Here's a recipe (pasted below) I posted to the RawDairy list a

few weeks ago when the topic came up.

My Eggnog Recipe

Put room temp milk in blender. Grate nutmeg over blender. Optionally

grate cinnamon over blender. Optionally add vanilla. Optionally add

honey. Optionally add cream. Optionally add whatever the heck else

you want because you are a free person and life doesn't come with a

book of rules. Blend. Add lots of egg yolks. Blend again briefly.

Sip.

I've never tried it with cream because I've never had any on hand when

I've made eggnog, so it's not very thick, but some people have said

they like the lighter consistency. It's so ridiculously delicious

that it doesn't feel like anything's missing to me.

I say " room temp " because that's how you can really perceive the great

flavor of milk. It has nothing to do specifically with eggnog. If

you want to be a vulgar anti-gourmet and use cold milk, noone will

stop you, but if you're not seeking refined aesthetic experiences with

food, then why bother trying to make something this delicious in the

first place? Why not just put all your food in a food processor, make

a human chow and hold your nose while you shovel it in your mouth as

fast as possible? Okay, rant over.

I say " sip " because all fine beverages should be sipped. If you want

to gulp your eggnog or milk or whatever... uh, nevermind--see above.

,

I make raw egg nog with raw egg yolks, cream, milk, sometimes

colostrum, vanilla, honey and freshly grated nutmeg. Not exactly a

recipe, but there are the ingredients. Delicious! And no alcohol

necessary.

there are a few in the group's recipe files. i am looking for the

same and have tried a couple, still looking for the perfect one. i

have not been able to create the thickness that i love...maybe adding

whipped cream?

i'm all ears if someone has a new recipe!
