Guest guest
You guys know lots of things; do ovaries atrophy for everyone (in women, I mean) or just when they don't get enough hormones? Marilyn, age
Guest guest
I don't know the answer to your question. I do know that progestins (not real progesterone) such as Provera can cause ovaries to atrophy.Marilyn wrote: You guys know lots of things; do ovaries atrophy for everyone (in women, I mean) or just when they don't get enough hormones? Guest guest
Are they not supposed to atrophy? I have asked friends and researched books and cannot find the answer.Jan wrote: I don't know the answer to your question. Guest guest
I do not have the answer to that question. It may be a question of "when," not "if."Marilyn wrote: Are they not supposed to atrophy? Guest guest
We do not have any docs in Nacogdoches on our list. Is this a doc on Shomon's Top Doc list? If you would like to mention their name, maybe someone has seen them and can comment.l & jpickle wrote: I never had any symptoms of thyroid problems until after I had a hysterectomy. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it but have read that menopause can have an effect. I am going for my preliminary blood work on the 27th. Perhaps then I will have some answers. Then to find a doc hopefully in Lufkin who can help me. I saw a Nacogdoches doc on the Texas list that was recommended. It is only 20 miles from me. I guess I will start with my regular doctor and go from their. P. Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
I found him on the list on the About.com site His name is Dr. Philip T. Guest guest
I just read that write-up. It does not mention which thyroid meds he prescribes. Do call and ask if he prescribes Armour before making an appointment. Most of those doc recommendations on Shomon's list are about personal chemistry and bedside manner. And many are written after only one or two visits. For the thyroid patient, a doc with a great personality who listens empathically is of no importance if he will not prescribe anything but $ynthroid or if he does prescribe Armour, but freaks when your TSH goes below 1. l & jpickle wrote: I found him on the list on the About.com site His name is Dr. Philip T. Guest guest
I agree. I have already made up my mind and had done so before joining the group the I would only take Armour.
