It has more vitamin D, which is good but trivial, and the magnesium

glycinate version has a vastly superior form of magnesium, but otherwise

I'd say it has serious problems. Dr. Schmid's has magnanese, boron and a

little buffered vitamin C, and the Ethical Nutrients supplement has an

array of horrid fillers: Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium,

cellulose, stearic acid, silica and modified cellulose coating. All of

those will impede absorption, some may actually cause gut irritation

(microcrystalline cellulose bothers me and apparently a lot of other

people) and, if some people, Dr. Schmid included, are to be believed, the

stearates used in vitamins may be a source of trans fatty acids.

IOW, we should all try to get Dr. Schmid to improve his formula (he should

replace the awful oxide form of magnesium with taurate, ideally, or failing

that, glycinate) but this isn't what I'd call a viable alternative.

One additional thing to consider is that strontium is also important for

bone (and, I'd assume, tooth) mineralization, but it apparently shouldn't

be taken with calcium, as they compete for absorption.
