Yes, I used to have a vegen / vegetarian diet for about 5 years, sometimes periods of eating vegan, and sometimes I had occasional bouts of eating eggs and dairy, but I ate mostly a lot of soy and grain products along with beans & vegetables etc, & vegetable juices. I believe that my diet of that time contributed to a nervous collapse of sorts, with my skin painful to touch, and an inability to think clearly or handle any sort of stress. By adding animal products to my diet I undoubtedly improved my health, there is no question in my mind about that. I added animal products to my diet slowly, over the course of a year or two, starting with seafood, then chicken, and then red meats. I still have trouble tolerating a high fat diet, but my health has improved tremendously, and is still improving, 5 years after ending my vegetarian diet.
