Guest guest
I have started on the compounded T4 today. I got it from Triad Pharmacy in San antonio. Mike is the owner/pharmacist. He says he ahs been into bioequivalent hormones for the last 5 or so years. This T4 is bioequivalent and is made from plant sources - not soy...Sometimes he says he uses yam, but I asked if it would affect the estrogen and he said that the hormones are sorted out of it or something like that. So his answer was no. He did seem knowledgeable about adrenals. He has a book that he recommends that I've seen on this and other sites its, "Adrenal Fatigue, th e twenty First Century Stress Syndrome". You can get this at Amazon. He is not big on using the compounded hydrocortisone for more than a few months. He says that one needs to support the adrenals in other ways, too. He recommended that I read the book first and then said he would be glad to sit down and talk to me. that's all I know for now. So far so good. This is 15 mcg T4 so I'll let you know how it works out. Steph
