Guest guest
Looking for some feedback from anyone who owns one of these 1. Do you have a favorite brand/model? 2. Which is best...Digital or manual read-out? 3. Where can I purchase one? 4. I've heard that they range in price from $US 80.00 to $US 300.00...is it necessary to get the most expensive one for accuracy? 5. Do you still use it, or has the novelty worn off after a period of time? S. Do you have a favorite brand/model? I don't know enough different brands/models to have a favorite, but I have one from Charlie Downs, whom Kris mentioned on the chapter leader list. Sorry, I forgot his email address but here's the rest of his contact info: Charlie Downs National Industrial Supply 392 S. Miraleste Drive #492 San Pedro, CA 90732 310.748.6858 310.833.7306 Fax >2. Which is best...Digital or manual read-out? I don't know. Mine's manual and it's just fine as far as I'm concerned. >3. Where can I purchase one? From Charlie, or do an internet search. There are many, many distributors. >4. I've heard that they range in price from $US 80.00 to $US >300.00...is it necessary to get the most expensive one for accuracy? No. >5. Do you still use it, or has the novelty worn off after a period of time? I don't use it as much in winter because I don't each as much produce. I live in Maine and most of the produce I eat is from CA in the wintertime. But I use it quite a bit when local produce is available. But like Kris, I'm pretty disappointed with the results. I do plan on having my own garden soon though, in which case I'll use it regularly to gauge my progress. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc.
