What forms of A and C are you taking? At any rate, K is important to

reduce bruising and excess bleeding.

For the kids we used Hyland's Vit C tablets (contains 25 mg. Sodium Acorbate

per tab, with 35 mg. of Lactose), and for us, we used Solgar's Vit C crystals

(pure L-ascorbic acid, 1/4 tsp. = 1125 mg.). As far as the Vit A goes, for the

kids we used Biotics Research Bio-Ae-Mulsion Forte (Vit A as palmitate, 1 drop

= 12, 500 IU) and for us, Nature's Life (A from fish oil, 25, 000 IU, and D 400

OI from Cholecalciferol). We also daily take Blue Ice CLO, in varying amounts

based upon weight.

Can you supplement children with Vit K? I know Mercola promotes Vit K

supplementation, but I'm always hesitant to supplement without knowing the

potential side effects, when it comes to my kids. Also, I read somewhere that

children don't digest Vit K rich veggies, like spinach, etc., until after age 6,

due to something with their developing digestive ability. We eat a lot of kale,

spinach, etc., but getting the kids to eat those veggies is always hit and miss.

The bruising can be need for bioflavinoids with C. Rutin, the C in buckwheat

is supposed to heal broken capillaries, too. Might be just the form of C it

is and a family susceptibility.

OK, that's a bad idea right off the bat -- that lactose isn't likely to be

doing anyone any good. Also, 25mg of sodium ascorbate is a long way from a

high dose of vitamin C.

The CLO might be contributing to the bruising problem due to the PUFA content.

Remember that K is also found in other foods, like fermented dairy, so

yeah, I don't see why not.
