Guest guest
Good for you, ! I have heard it many times that " you crave what you are addicted to and should not be eating. " Boy, has that been true for me! Before I went to see Dr. R. and get on the diet, I almost put myself in a coma - could not stop having ice cream, cookies, junk food, all the time. I was really in a bad slide. Very tired, very depressed, just stayed in a haze and could not move. I have to stay totally away from that stuff now, so as not to trigger another addictive wave. But the more distance I put between that stuff and my new eating behavior, the less I want any part of it. As Oprah said, " nothing tastes as good as this feels. " The best to you in your quest! Sara PS - if you need care packages from Whole Foods, let me know and I can probably get items for you and send them. Or, I wonder if you can order from them on line? > > Thanks Jan! Guest guest
Thank you Sara, You are so generous and awesome! I was actually surprised at the amount of things in that aisle and I think other grocery stores might have more variety. And I can order quite a bit online, if I don't mind paying postage and handling, which I do, but we'll see how it goes. Right now I'm having a pepsi every other day and trying my best with everything else. Last night we had to take the car in to have the battery replaced and had no time to do anything but order pizza. Argh! Felt miserable ... and I do seem to be having sugar cravings. I guess that's possible? :-) > > Good for you, ! Guest guest
That is odd! It's kind of analogous (sp?) to women who are attracted to men who aren't good for them.? Gosh I would love to see a good allergist and find out exactly which foods I'm allergic/sensitive to. Wouldn't that be interesting? I tried an organic cereal this morning and felt shaky and weak all morning. Maybe something in that, or maybe just not enough protein? So hard to figure out. Have a great weekend, Courtenay! >
Guest guest
OMG, I think you've cracked the code! That's what's wrong with me! It's not thyroid or antibodies or adrenal or anything like it...I've just got this uncontrollable attraction to men and foods that just aren't good for me! I should have known...I have a pretty crappy track record with both!!! Now, how do I get this under control??? Hehe, thanks ...today was my crash day and I really needed someone to remind me how to laugh at myself and keep going! > > >

Guest guest
One of the easiest ways to determine food allergies in yourself is to use the Coca Pulse Test. First off, learn your basic pulse rate (when you're feeling good and you haven't eaten anything you suspect you're allergic to). Then consume a single food (milk only, wheat only, etc). At 15, 30, and 45 minutes after, take your pulse. If it is raised more than 10 points, it indicates an allergy to that food. In some ways, this is probably accurate with people, too. If someone raises my pulse I surely don't want to be around him/her! LOL > > That is odd! It's kind of analogous (sp?) to women who are > attracted to men who aren't good for them.? Guest guest
Anytime, Niki! Although, I sometimes think no men are good for us! And very little food, lol! ;-) And on Valentine's Day too! > > > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks, ! I will try it! Actually, my last boss caused fast pulse AND chest pains. Yikes! > > > > That is odd!
