Thanks! Yeah, I've been " suffering " with red wine for awhile now ...

it is sooo nice to have porter! Unfortunately I can't actually say

how it compares to " real " porter, it's been too long. But I do

like my new version just fine. Gluten whacks me out too,

and my loved ones take the brunt of the damage, so I'm

not willing to experiment. I CAN say that my cider tastes

better than Trader Joe's cider ... I bought some of theirs

and no one finished the bottle, but mine disappears

quickly. Using molasses for *beer* didn't occur to me

until I read " Washington's Small Beer " recipe on

the net ... if it's good enough for , it's good enough

for me! His household drank 200 GALLONS of the stuff

a month???? Can you believe it? Their " small beer " was pretty

equivalent to kefir beer, from the sounds of it. Boy, I do

wish they had digital cameras back then.

As for the " tip of the iceberg " ... donations, in the form

of recipes or ideas, are gratefully accepted ...
