I have a bad sinus infection which started with cedar fever. My doctor wanted to give me a steroid pack and antibiotic. Im not sure I want to do this. Do yall have any other suggestions? It seems like someone said they upped their hydrocoritsone when they were sick???

I had a strange reaction to after I finished a steroid pack last

summer for infected spider bites. I felt really shaky and strange,

sweating, etc. I'm wondering if you withdrawal after a cortisol

punch like that?

The doc put me on Leviquin and it was not working (which is odd too)

and so he put me on prednisone and within 24 hours I was better!

Also, I firmly believe that my adrenal system is shot and that the

prednisone made me feel so much better, more energy, killed my

appetite so that I lost 2 lbs etc. And once I was off the prednisone

I have felt so crappy, shaking hands, profusely sweating, heart

racing and pounding, breathlessness etc..so I've ordered some

Deltacortil (sp?) and I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive!

When I did the steroid pack last summer, Dr. Rob had me discontinue

my hydrocortisone and then start it back up again when I was done

with the pack. Just FYI.
