weight training and low blood sugar

Hi,

I've been doing quite well with NT principles. Recently I started an

exercise program that combines weight lifting with cardio and

flexibility. I do the program three times a week. On the days I do the

program I find that by 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon I'm feeling the

signs of low blood sugar I used to have every day before NT. I find

myself craving sweet foods and feeling tired, although not as tired as

before NT.

I've cut my carbs way down when I started doing NT seriously. Have I

cut my carbs too low? Is my body glycogen depleted and needing more

sugary food? I have some fruit and some protein before and after the

workout but perhaps not enough sugar?

Does someone have an NT-friendly strategy for giving my body what it

needs so I don't get the sugar craving and tiredness in the afternoon?

I'm doing no gluten and no casein and I think soy is a bad idea so I

don't know that I could find a protein drink that would give me the

right boost before/during/after my workout.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Sol
