Guest guest
Did you have a problem with Singular - the reason I am asking is that I had my feet and hands swell from taking it. Guest guest
Thanks so much for your reply. According to my doctor she had absolutely never heard of anyone having problems from taking Singular - especially swelling. Question regarding steroids! Guest guest
Donna, I experienced extreme fatigue and severe *pins and needles* when taking Singulair. FYI...everyone is different but, their are definitely side affects. I agree with Carol, YOU take control of your asthma and YOU make the choices. Remember, the majority of MD's are not scientists, so, they are " spoon-fed " most info on diseases and medications. IMHO.... Guest guest
> I use accolate instead of singular!!! If you've been on it a number of years, at your next check-up ask the doc to check your liver enzymes. Accolate has a known side effect of raising them and if left to continue to climb can lead to all sorts of medical problems. Just last year, after about 10 or so years on Accolate, my counts were sky high, but within 3 months after switching to Singulair they were back to normal levels. When this med was first released they cautioned people about this happening and my son's pulmonologist did bloodwork every visit for the first few years, to be safe, but even he switched everyone off of it that he could when Singulair became available.
