Hi Phil,

Well, my 'teenage acne' lasted until I was 38!! Last year I

stopped eating all grains and noticed major improvement in my skin

within a couple of weeks. I re-introduced rice to my diet & my skin

didn't like it, so I stopped eating it. I think wheat was the main

culprit though. My teenage daughter has a definite acne reaction to

grains too, eats them anyway (after much anguish) then suffers the

consequences. She finds that taking fish liver oil (halibut)capsules

helps her skin too. Corn affects her the most. So maybe a week or two

without wheat, or all grains (really hard if it makes up a large

portion of the diet) and see if it makes a difference. HTH

wondering if others here have used any non-drug approaches for their

kids and found any useful? I am wondering about the pasturized milk he

drinks and the amount of wheat he consumes in bread. Ideas are

appreciated.

Yep, grains and sugars are the biggest culprits IMO. That said,

basically the closer to a WAPF diet he eats the better.
