why I still don't know

I sent out a post recently about my confusion with my diagnosis of allergic asthmatic bronchitis. I was just searching for some answers because I have next to no knowlege about asthma ans asthma related diseases. I joined this group to get some knowlege and support. My family is basically in denial ( my mom told me " you don't have asthma) My doctor gave me this diagnosis after 8 months, after 6 months of me bugging him for a diagnosis because I wanted to know and when the diagnosis finally came I didn't understand what it was and thought he'd made it up just to get me off his back. He's never said anything about how to use my peak flow meter( it was 5 months before he finally decided a peak flow would be a good idea) He never explained how to use it. He never explained about peak flow zones. I had to figure out all of this myself. He has yet to discuss an asthma action plan ( which if I understand correctly all asthma patients should have) I just don't know what

he's waiting for!!! Some of the people in this group seem really knowlegable and since I know almost nothing I'm coming here for your help. I don't even know how to approach this with my doctor because I feel like I may need something( although I don't know what) that would possibly help me to not have to use my rescue inhaler 1-2X a day. I think this is WAAAAYYY too much but all I have is my inhaler and singulair, which I take at night and helps alot with nighttime symptoms but during the day I get my butt kicked. I just am trying to get any help I can from anyone who has more experience and knowlege than I do. Could somebody just throw me something. I just am so completely clueless, maybe I shouldn't be but I just don't know that much. Maybe some of you who know alot and have had much more experience could help me out with these concerns???
