Roasting Peanuts

I recently made my first batch of roasted peanuts as described in NT. We weren't

really pleased with the results. I did roast them at low temp for about 24

hours. They did not have the toasty roasted flavor one is used to with store

bought. Do others have this result? I'm wondering if there is something wrong

with the technique I'm using or maybe it's the peanuts?
