Robin, i did atkins a few times out of desperation...gave it at least

a month or two each time. didn't feel good and didn't lose wt. i

was in ketosis...yet i was constantly hungry and ate every 2 h or

else i was starving.

i keep pretty low carb. and the carbs i do eat would be the soaked,

sprouted or fermented grains. (and the carbs in dairy)

oddly enough, i had regular pizzeria pizza a few weeks ago (rare) and

slept like a baby that night. i was really puzzled by that! being

as troubled as i am with insomnia...(like right now).

i consume a lot of raw dairy, meat, cheese and throw in the

occasional piece of sourdough spelt or sprouted sourdough or

whatever...but i'm not nearly into bread as much as i used to be. i

just like the occasional piece...not every day and sometimes not even

a whole slice.

i pretty much live on raw milk, kefir, yogurt and cheese with some

meat thrown in and like i said the occasional piece of wapf friendly

bread...often with my own homemade cultured salted butter from raw

cream. i'm very happy eating this way.

i tell ya robin...i've tried everything over the last 30 years. i've

done everything except actually go on prescription thyroid.

that's why i'm holding out hope over this iodine stuff i'm expecting

in the mail. 90% of his patients are iodine deficient...and

hypothyroid seems almost epidemic these days. and many of his

patients have had dramatic results.

i'm not expecting anything, don't want to get my hopes up too

high...just hoping it will help.
