Side effects of prednisone

Hello!

I have been on prednisone on and off (mostly on) since mid September

(Lungs keep closing up, sound like crap). Then yesterday, I noticed my

knee was stiff and sore...felt swollen. Oh well, Christmas eve...too

bad! So, I finished shopping and when I got home, and wrapped, and

finally went to bed (by now it was REALLY uncomfortable) my husband

took one look and just said... " WHAT DID YOU DO??? " My entire leg was

swollen and shiney, thigh to ankle! Honestly...NOTHING! My knee

hurts, but it feels like fluid in there...and a LOT of that!

I have a good friend who has lymphodema....and my leg resembled

hers...the tissue was hard and ugly feeling, and it just ACHED (Not a

pitting, doughy feeling edema)

Today...I can't bend the knee well, and it is still swollen, but not

hard feeling (I have stayed off of it today). I have NEVER had any

circulatory issues...

Anybody have any idea if this could be the prednisone?

I really don't want to bug my doc on Christmas!!
