I can tell that my liver is stressed so I'm attempting to adjust my diet to help

strengthen and cleanse it. Looking through the NT book I can't say I really

found much that I thought would be helpful aside from the beet kavass.I guess

it's good for that. If anyone has ideas about the " WAPF " approach to the liver I

would appreciate the help.

> Phil,

Use Katja's liver tea:

equal parts

dandelion root

burdock root

licorice root

use, I think, 1 TBS per quart of water and boil 20 mins.

drink one quart/day for about three mos. You can make a couple days

worth in advance.

Onibasu it, I may be mixed up.

it might be 1 tbs each per quart.

I used about 1/4 cup, myself.

cleaned me up nicely.

It's also very cooling, so this is a good time of year to drink it.

She's all about the milk thistle, right now.

buy from Dr. Ron, I'd say or buy it yourself and cap

or Mountain Rose Herbs.

I've not used milk thistle, really, so I don't know what to tell you,

it's supposed to be quite powerful.

Yes, it is 1 TBS of each - dandelion and burdock, make sure they're

organic! The licorice root is just for flavor, if you need it, but I

think it tastes fine without it - a bit earthy. From what she's said in

the past, you're not supposed to make it in advance, but fresh each

morning. Boil it 15 minutes, then strain out the roots.

She also told me to take milk thistle. If you get it from

www.mountainroseherbs.com, get 3 bottles and that'll last you 3 months -

take 3 per day, throughout the day. It's supposed to be great stuff for

the liver!

You can do both of these together, as they work on the liver in slightly

different ways. :-)
