Guest guest
The albuterol did clear up my congestion. I was told to use it every two hours! I was given it at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, which is known as a very reputable hospital. Dare

Guest guest
Well, just because they are a " reputable " hospital doesn't mean they do everything right. Albuterol is not indicated for congestion. A drug indication is the intended use as designated by the FDA. Here are the indications according to www.rxlist.com Albuterol inhalation aerosol is indicated for the prevention and relief of bronchospasm in patients 4 years of age and older with reversible obstructive airway disease and for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm in patients 4 years of age and older. Inhalation Solution: Albuterol inhalation solution is indicated for the relief of bronchospasm in patients 2 years of age or older with reversible obstructive airway disease and acute attacks of bronchospasm. So what does this mean? If your insurance company wanted to dispute the need for this medications, and the doctor put congestion as the indication, the they would have the legal right not to pay for the medication. And if you died the doctor would not be covered by his malpractice insurance. If it worked for you then great. However, I can name other medications that work better with less side effects to relieve congestion. > > The albuterol did clear up my congestion. Guest guest
Alot of meds are used for other things than they were meant for. For example, there is a birth control shot that is used to help people with anorexia gain weight. And maybe this albuteral was used because they thought it would work. In this world, everyone can't be satisfied unfortunately and all doctors do not share the same opinion and the same as with patients and the same as with public schools, the gov't, politics, religion, etc. If it worked for her, the doctor did a good job in MY opinion. I think that's all that matters to too. I'm a freethinker, I don't believe we humans have to go with the "flow". Char Re: Asthma meds cause GERD?
