As far as I know, Allergic asthmatic bronchitis is the same as

asthma. It has also been called reactive airway disease RAD.

bronchitis and the list goes on... 10

Hi, Elaine. My doctor told me the same thing. I still cannot find out exactly what it is. Now he says it is just asthma, the bronchitis has cleared up. So he treats me for asthma. Asthma and bronchitis are two different things. But I guess we get them together sometimes. I have had allergies since I worked in the steel mill 25 some years ago. Eventually they developed into asthma, and from the winter months and the cold, I developed bronchitis on top of it. That is the best I can figure it out. I will make a note to really question his about it next time. Also when I went to get he albuterol the first time, they didn't want to give it to me because he said on the prescription asthmatic bronchitis. After they called his office and determined that I actually have asthma, they gave me the meds.Elaine Pollard wrote: I'd find another doctor if it were me. RAD is the kind of asthma that only shows up when you are sick.  My son has

this.  The only time he has an attack is when he's seriously sick. That has

happened twice. His Ped says this is the type that people are more likely to

" outgrow " .Quoting ShaBaby

Please everyone on this list, this is not spam, I sent this email to

Karan explaining the the problems with her asthma. I'm sharing this

information so that all of you can get a clear understand about

asthma.

Danny Whitfield

Dear karan,

I just want to explain this as clear as possible, You and everyone

else are suffering toxic poisoning from a gas called sulfur mix with

sewage.

Its been known for many years and its been covered up sicne 1990. It

would take me weeks to explain how all this works however, I'm

giving you this link to read as it will explain exactly what you

have. Remember asthma, allergic asthma, asthmatic bronchitis,

chronic bronchitis are all forms of allergic reactions from

something and that something is sewage and sulfur. Very prevalent

through out the United States

OK , now I'm wondering, Do I have asthma and if I do why not just say, " you have asthma." instead of allergic asthmatic bronchitis... Still not really sure what it is. treatment is working but it's kinda a daily maintanance thing, can't do without my inhaler. I use it sometimes 2X a day but usually once before I exercise( really into sports and I'm not willing to stop just cause I have a little trouble breathing) Some days it's harder because the air is crap but i just do what I can do. swimming helps me alot so it's become a part of my routine. I tried to google allergic asthmatic bronchitis and found every possible variation of asthma, allergic asthma, allergic bronchitis and about 20+ pages of stuff that didn't help me at all. As long as I try to avoid triggers I'm OK . I also googled RAD I don't have most of those symptoms so I'm not really sure this is what I have. Does anyone know anything? Do I have asthma? All I know

is with exposure to triggers I have coughing, difficulty breathing, wheezing sometimes and I have to spit mucus( I know that's totally gross but you gotta do what you gotta do and sometimes there's no other way to say it but the gross " spit mucus) anyway , this sounds like asthma to me but my doctor says , " I never told you you have asthma." I think he just did!!!! Karanchickpea@... wrote: RAD is the kind of asthma that only shows up when you are sick. My son has

I know it must be frustrating for you. But a lot of lung diseases

cause very similar symptoms--blockage or narrowing of the airways due

to an irritant or an infection. Whether it's technically asthma, or

COPD, or chronic bronchitis--or even pneumonia--obstruction of the

airways generally results in shortness of breath, wheezing, and

coughing (nature's way of trying to clear the airways). Ironically,

most of these problems, no matter what they are labeled, are medically

treated very similarly with a long-lasting inhaler and an emergency

inhaler. Don't know why your doctor would not tell you if you have

asthma. But as long as your treatment is working for you, then I

wouldn't care what the problem is labeled by that particular doctor.

Maybe he's one of those rare doctors who doesn't believe there is such

a thing as asthma (I've met a few of those in my years). Also,

insurance companies increasingly are trying to get out of insuring

asthmatics because the mortality rate is rising. So maybe he's doing

you a favor (?). All that counts is whether you can breathe! :) marty

Can you go to another doctor? There are straightforward breathing

tests for diagnosing asthma; I don't see a reason for this much

mystification.

Not, people don't outgrow RAD! My son was born with it and now he's on steroids. Some doctors are a joke.

My son has RAD and doesn't just have it when he is sick. It does show up MORE when he is sick.
