Alpha 1 carrier status and asthma

Back in July I learned from my pulmonologist that I am a carrier for

Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Syndrome.(A genetic condition that could

affect the lungs and/or liver in it's most severe form) I was just

wondering if anyone else on this site who has asthma is also a carrier?

I was told that being a carrier posed no increased risk for lung or

liver problems . However since I have asthma it does make me question

this. So is there any other " alphas " out there?
