I have had asthma for about ten years. It is mostly the coughing variety although I do wheeze occasionally.

I have noticed that my worst coughing is often when I start to eat? Anyone know about this and if it can be prevented?

Thanks

I am certainly not glad that you have the coughing variety of asthma ...... but you are the first person that I have heard of that has this variety. I also have asthma - but no wheezing - only a cough. I thought maybe I was the only one......but it looks like I'm not.

I've heard that the ''Rainbow " vacuum cleaner is most often used in

houses where there are allergies.

These are not sold in stores , but by individual representatives.

Google for them..

Hi , Yes I have had food allergy tests and have no food allergies. I do have celiac disease so cannot tolerate gluten which is not the same as an allergy. Because of that I am very aware of all the foods I eat. Thanks for your idea.

I have asthma and allergies. I use a rainbow and it does so good . As long as I vacuum at least once a week I have fewer problems with dust and household triggers. There are some rainbow dealers around( although I'm not exactly sure where) You might want to check out one of these and see if they sell the vacuums. I know they have attachments and these little bottles of scented oil that gives your room a pleasent but not overpowering smell after you vacuum. wrote: Can someone help me cut through all the giberish?! Since I got the diagnois today I know that I have to purchase a new vacuum since mine is old and does not have a HEPA filter, so I went to the store and looked online and now I'm completely overwhelmed and confused! Since there are many here that seem to be long-term in the hands-on learning classroom of life, can you offer me real suggestions on what to look for in a good vacuum that actually works AND helps with the allergy issues? Do you have one that you like and use frequently? Thanks again wizkid

If you contact the AMA they can make recomendations on which vacuums to use and also air purifiers too. They also can give you info on what all natural companies are the best for asthmatics.
