Guest guest
I read this on Geneen Roth's FB page: " Once you realize that it's possible to feel good by not eating certain things and including others instead, the compulsion begins to fall away because you've found something better: getting your life back. " I think it's so true and wanted to share it with you all. I'd love to discuss it as a topic on this forum, if people are interested. Of late, I've found that when I eat healthy, nourishing foods, prepared by me, I feel so wonderful that I have no urge to eat things which make me feel heavy, bloated, angry with myself, and weighted down. This reminds me of 's advice to choose the foods, in the right amounts, that will give you the most pleasure over time.
Guest guest
On this topic, I joined a CSA(community supported agriculture) this week after putting it off for years. If you're unfamiliar, a CSA gives you a box of farm fresh mixed produce and it's always changing based on the season, etc. I must say, opening the box was like Christmas morning-a mystery box full of beautiful, delicious FOOD! We ate a dinner of corn on the cob, greens, sliced tomatoes and chicken sausage with fresh berries for dessert. I feel totally inspired to cook(one of my biggest challenges with food) and am enjoying the game of figuring out how to use everything by the end of the week. It does feel like a step towards getting my life back & I highly reccommend it to anyone who has access to a CSA! > > I read this on Geneen Roth's FB page: > > " Once you realize that it's possible to feel good by not eating certain things and including others instead, the compulsion begins to fall away because you've found something better: getting your life back.
