Hi Cerita,

Which podcast in particular--#4? Where you try to find the physical location of

the objection... or gift?

Recently one of my daughters was struggling with something, and she asked me to

do the conflict resolution journey with her, but change weight to the other

issue. So I basically used the setup from the conflict resolution journey, but

read the text from the book. One thing I noticed was that reading that text out

loud made it more powerful. So if you have a close friend who could do it with

you, it might work better. Or if you record yourself reading it, and then listen

to your own voice....

She was having trouble finding the spot for the gift. The part that said " yes " .

So I changed the script a little, to have her slowly move her hand in circles on

her belly until she was aware of the right spot. It seemed to help....

If that's not what you meant--maybe it would help to listen to the series on

limiting beliefs. It would definitely give you some tools for addressing the

fear of failing again.

One thing I've found is that I don't have the same objection every time. It

could be that the fear of failing again isn't really your biggest objection

overall--but it's your biggest objection to starting again. So by addressing the

objection to starting again, you'll be able to get to the next layer, the next

objection. So just run with it, and see what happens...

to address this? I have listened to the podcast multiple times and am trying to

work through week 2 of the book, but I am just stumped. I don't feel anything,

and can't locate a reason except for the very obvious fear of failing again.

And while I know I have that, it doesn't seem to ring true enough to be the

reason I have been unable to go below 270. I am open to any insight...

Hi:

This is my first time posting. I just finished reading the book. Your problem

struck a real nerve with me. I think you will find that getting stuck on

something means you're trying too hard. Try not to push yourself. Just feel what

you are feeling, accept it, and move on. There is a yin and yang to wanting

something. If you want it too much, it will always be beyond your grasp. This

problem of wanting too desperately is mentioned towards the end of the book, in

the last chapter. Also, I would suggest that you move on to another part of the

program and come back to the part that is giving you problems at a later time.

Hi there,

I think you are onto something. The relaxed intent that speaks of in some

of her blogs is an important subtlety. I'm not sure I've completely gotten

there, but I know that it's important to have a goal that you want and work

towards, but not with so much intensity or strain that you create negative

feelings inside of yourself when you aren't quite there.

Further, this seems tied to the notion that you have to feel good where you are

and appreciate all the positive changes (success journal) you are making now, so

that as you proceed on the journey towards releasing weight, you enjoy the

entire process.

Best,
