Guest guest
Hi, I'm Kim and I'm just starting out with IOWL. I've listened to a couple of podcasts and am just starting to work through week 1 of the book and do the exercises. I'm 42 and I think about food constantly. I'm not really overweight, but my family is all heavy and I gain weight really easily if I don't eat carefully and exercise regularly. My eating habits consist of really restricting what I allow myself to eat, and then breaking down and eating out of control when I can't take the restrictions any more, and then beating myself up over it. I've had " food issues " since I was a teenager and have tried all the crazy diets out there, starting with some weird diets my Mom put us on as kids back in the 80s when she was trying to lose weight. I'd just like to be able to eat healthy food in normal portions without all the drama, and I'd like to reduce the amount of time and energy I spend obsessing about food and put that time and energy towards something that makes me feel good about myself. Since I'm so new, I probably won't post much, but will be reading all your stories and successes.
