Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Sheri! b. > Hi All, > I want to introduce myself to the group and ask for support. I have been listening to 's podcast for over a year and just bought Full-filled and started reading it. I have a long history with weight and food issues. I can remember back to age 9 hating my body. I was treated for bulimia at age 22, in a 6-week hospital stay. That was 25 years ago and I have been struggling since. I have not purged or taken laxatives since my treatment, but have been either actively losing or gaining weight since then. I have a lifetime membership in Weight Watchers, I exercise most every day. I am at a healthy weight, but feel I need to lose 10 pounds to be really comfortable in my skin. BUt, I am TIRED of thinking about it. My intention is to stop wasting my energy and brain power on weight management. There HAS to be more to life than this. So many more important things to experience than knowing calorie count (or point value) of all foods and exercise! > I believe IOWL will be the ticket to moving beyond this obsession and want to work the program. I have to admit, I have some skepticism, having done hundreds of other plans in the past. The first recommendation in the book is to get support. I don't feel comfortable with any friends or family with this and hope to connect with a buddy or group here. > Glad to be here and appreciate any feedback, > Sheri > >
Guest guest
Hi Sheri! Welcome! I really share your feelings regarding " asking for support " . I think most of the people here felt insecure as they wrote their first post (I still do ). teaches us personal progress and I think that asking for help and support as well as being supportive for others is a central step of this process. I finished the week5 chaper of the full-filled book a few hours ago. Wonderful! There IS more in life than food and doubt about yourself. The dig-in exercises and the meditations will lead you there and step by step, day by day, you will feel more full-filled as any food can ever do for you. See you soon here! Love, Anne > > Hi All, > I want to introduce myself to the group and ask for support. I have been listening to 's podcast for over a year and just bought Full-filled and started reading it. Guest guest
Welcome, Sheri. I definitely found that IOWL has helped me move beyond food, to what I really want out of life. I understand the skepticism, but one of the great things about this approach is that slipping up--and learning from the slip up--is part of the program. We're allowed to be imperfect. Glad you're joining us on the journey. >________________________________ > >To: insideoutweightloss >Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2012 8:23 AM >Subject: full-filled > > > >... >I believe IOWL will be the ticket to moving beyond this obsession and want to work the program.
