Guest guest
I am enjoying reading the goal thread and others..thank you all! I am new on this thought process and have a considerable amount to lose for the long term. I am not in a rush but, for the short term I have some things coming up where losing a quick 20 lbs would be so helpful. I am seeing my 96 yr. old father-in-law who is fat phobic in early January.. I don't want to embarrass my husband being even 20 lbs heavier than my last time seeing his Dad when I was then at my heaviest. Believe me this is a deep issue! Also, but not quite as important I have a cruise coming up at the end of January.. It is not the looking good for the cruise that I care about, but rather not having the seat belt fit and having to ask for (or even bring my own) seat belt extender. That sounds horrifying! It barely fit around me 15 lbs ago... How does one " self-talk " themselves into accepting this as " it is what it is " and I am working on my head trash for the long term? Wisdom needed! Thanks!
