I have an Ionic Breeze " Quadra " from Sharper Image. I went for the

reconditioned unit for 1/2 the price and it has the same 5 year warranty.

The also have a new model with GP(germicidal protection). It has a label

from the asthma and allergy foundation of America on it. www.aafa.org

Well, my husband used to have the worst allergies ever and we've

tried all the air filters around. We decided that the biggest

models (usually about $150 plus annual filter changes) at Home Depot

type stores work as well as any of the fancier, more expensive

models we've tried. Sometimes the air filter alone would be enough

to reduce the severity of an asthma attack, enough to keep from

having to take him to the emergency room. So they do work pretty

well. Ours stay on all the time and they will wear out after 3-4

years. But for $150, that's not bad.

I noticed personally, that I don't have to dust much in the bedroom

where we keep it. And…this is kinda gross but it gives you an idea

of how it works, I used to have to blow my nose every morning for

most of my life. When we run the air filter, I have absolutely no

bugers in my nose whatsoever. I do when I sleep somewhere else.

Can you be more specific? I know that it is different than other filters on

the market but it does have both the British Allergy Foundation and the

Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America seals on it. Are you saying that

they are lying?
