Guest guest
Hi Irene and All: Ahh... about the author Burns!! I am interested in reading " Ten Days to Self Esteem " (it also discusses depression) which is also by Burns. Michele said she was going to look for the book and wanted to read it too. Are you interested? I'm reading it THIS WEEK -- but I can discuss it later if anyone wants to get the book and start reading!! Let me know if you want to form a book group! Thanks! Guest guest
Barb, I would be interested, except right now I'm reading about 4 different books and am behind on my summer reading. If you do decide to start it, I will definitely jump on the bandwagon in the fall. I think the book " Ten Days to Self Esteem " sounds really interesting. Maybe, because we all have such self esteem issues, it could be broken down to one step a week and then working on that chapter for a week. Sometimes reading too fast about things I don't fully integrate registers intellectually, but takes much longer to put into action. I noticed that's how I am with self-help books. I like to take my time as I sincerely want to learn and look at it like a college course or something, dragging it out for a while to really learn what it is I'm hoping to learn. That's just one thought though. Maybe set aside one day a week where we meet to discuss the chapter or something? I think this is a good idea though and I'm all for it. I love reading. I have a veritable library at home of over a 1000 books, easily. My husband hates moving with me now that we're married. The boxes that have all my books are always the heaviest to move when it comes time to changing addresses. We've done that twice since we've been married and I think that's why we signed on for another year with this current lease-heehee. I've already said that if we build a house next year, my main priority is getting built in bookshelves...don't care about much else-lol. *hugs* Kere > > > > > > My doctor and therapist both recommended the " Feeling Good > Handbook " by Dr. > > Burns.
