Guest guest
's dads services were very nice. There were many flowers...all so beautiful. The church was completely filled up, with overflow in the balcony above. The minister was very kind, allowing everyone to laugh, and cry. The music was definately a touch of heaven. will have to explain how or what " Amazing Grace " was played. It could have been the organ and/or a piano...possibly a tape. It sent shivers down my body. There was a time for anyone and everyone to share in the memories of how Erwin touched their lives. The pastor walked around with a microphone going to whomever volunteered and wanted to share. It was truly amazing as we sat and laughed and sighed all in the same memory. I went in the processional to the cemetary and couldn't see the back of the line. It is truly wonderful to rejoice in a life that has touch so many people. He was truly a very loved man, that also had his priorities straight...with his faith being his rock. I did hug , her mom, and both of her brothers. Her Aunt (who I had met at the hospital a couple times) approached me, and each of them comforted me from my recent loss. Needless to say, I couldn't say much about the group, knowing that 8 months from the 20th of this month...my dad won his battle with LBD. In my silent prayers standing at the cemetary, I named those who asked to pass on hugs, and added the rest of the group in continuing support for 's family. They stood faith-fully strong.
