Good to meet you !

That's the problem we have too. We continue to lose foods - one right after

the other.

Maybe we can swap recipes ;)

Aidan was in the ER at two weeks of age with bloody diarrhea. I cannot

remember when the projectile vomiting started but it was well underway by

the time he went into the ER. Yes, I do believe he was born with his

condition. My pregnancy seemed alright. I was miserable as I usually am

during pregnancy, but it went much smoother than my older son. I had

pre-eclampsia with both pregnancies very badly. It never progressed to

full-blown eclampsia.

Ok, never heard of coconut milk tonic in EFLF, can you explain that further

to me, please? I'm up for giving anything a try.

My Aidan loved rice milk. He misses it I think and when we went SCD, I

switched him to juice (which never DID sit well with me - pre-SCD my kids

never drank juice). Aidan only drank his rice milk and water. With all the

supplements he takes, I have to put them in something to hide the taste so

my choices were milk or juice.

>I was told Aidan was " probably autistic " at 22 months. We chose not

Ya know, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have Liam (my autistic

son - 4 yrs) diagnosed either. It didn't do us one bit of good and was a

massive headache. We've gotten a lot further with our chiro who actually

did metabolic testing and saw there were some massive problems laying

underneath the surface. We're addressing those problems and the re-tests

and his behavior are starting to tell a story of recovery. My Aidan is

currently speech delayed but he's not autistic - he doesn't show the signs

Liam showed at his age and even earlier. We started speech therapy at home

teaching him sign language so he can communicate and we're going to play the

waiting game a little longer to see if something clicks.

>I'm looking forward to having a third child after a few years of NT

Good luck - hopefully things will go well with the next little one. As for

me, I'm done. I'm not a pleasant human being when I'm pregnant so I'm

calling my child bearing days over. We are probably going to have more kids

- we just plan on adopting them or pursuing a permanent foster care

placement situation. I'd like to get these two squared away before we start

thinking about adding another one.

Good luck to you too! This has been a fascinating, albeit frustrating

journey so far.

Great stuff, but the containers are ridiculous. They're narrow-mouthed

bottles, which means that in cool weather you have to heat the milk to get

it out, thus mixing the cream and water, which you don't always want to do,

and the caps are, in my experience at least, uniformly rusted on the

inside, and that rust taints the upper layer of coconut cream.

Oh Del, I'm sorry to hear about all that! From what I've read, the IgG

allergies happen because of " leaky gut " , and you can get them

to just about anything that gets into your blood. But the question

is, why would your gut not be in good shape?

The Alpha Nutrition program is allergen free, and some folks

use that, but seems like something else is going on.

Well shoot, THAT is something I can fix! Do you want me to send more?

I just mailed off a batch, if they survive I can mail off more.

>Does it sound like something more than leaky gut to you? I am

I don't know ... it seems for ME that I DO have to rely on a lot

of probiotics to keep an even keel, so to speak. Lately that

means kefir beer. But Dom is experimenting with kefir suppositories (oh,

I know!). It seems that that bacteria in kefir might make the cells

in the gut wall less permeable, they provoke the cells into growing

faster (I just skimmed the article, so don't take this definitively). Hearing

you say that about the kefir on the same day was just too coincidental.

Some folks with autistic kids feed the kids the GRAINS (because they

are casein intolerant) and it works. Gotta be a zonulin thing.

>I will look into the Alpha Nutrition program. Never heard of it.

Seems pricey, but it might be an interesting option. I've heard of

it used in some studies as a baseline.

For me, the feast/fast eating seems to work. I think it's because

the gut gets a REST and it can recover and rebuild, but I'm just

guessing. OTOH I'm having a problem with being too skinny!
