Guest guest
<<<<<<barb, you did the right thing by walking away...as a teacher i know LOTS of women like the ones you just described. their whole existence probably depends on organizing that damn haunted house...then you came along and threatened them. so many WOMEN...and i do think this is a woman thing...just get so WRAPPED up in that petty social shit. you should hear the stories about the PTA ladies at my school...arguing and fussing and fighting about stupid party decorations for goodness sake!!! or, on a larger scale, WHO will head up some committee. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ok, OHHHHHHHH you make me feel so much better!!!!! First off, my NADA is BPD and also a first grade teacher who is always in some sort of mess. She drives me crazy calling little boys she has had " THE CRACK BABIES! " My jaw would always drop to the floor~ I said mother, just because the mom's had a problem with CRACK does not mean the babies are messed up for life, as a matter of fact part of what I do is research and in my research I found that babies born to mom's who were using crack cocaine/cocaine had no problems by the age of 5! The same age mother was getting these children. I told her all about the findings, and had it on paper, her response was, " THEY are crack babies, they are messed up and I DO NOT care what you say! You are not the teacher. " Then I used to pound into her head that these children were often pulled out of their homes and living with foster families, aunts, or cousins. She always has to be right, and she unlike you LOVES THE PTA, as I was complaining about the PTA in my area and how they " CLICK " together, she told me her PTA was just so great, helping her out, helping the school out yadda yadda.....In my area you join the PTA to get your kid in with right teachers. The women who have been slamming me behind my back have all been my neighbors and go figure they are all PTA elected/ WHATEVERS.... I am not knocking the PTA (mother may be watching LOL) just the PTA for our little Elemetery School. I can so relate to both of u =) Thanks for sharing!
