It may depend upon the current state of your teeth. There are holistic dentists that don't require x-rays; you may need to do pre-screening so you aren't surprised on your first visit. I only have them done every 5 years or so, and even then there is no pressure to do them from my dentist. That said, my teeth are naturally straight and very healthy. Check out the International Academy or Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) http://www.iaomt.org. > > While we're on the subject...do you think cleaning at the dentist's is > necessary every 6months-a year? Maybe, some people require cleaning every 4 months. It depends upon how well you clean your teeth in between cleaning visits, AND the type of saliva you produce which obviously varies from person to person. My teeth have never been cleaner since I dropped toothpaste and now mostly use a non-glycerine soap or other non-glycerine tooth products...and my hygenist has noticed a big difference. > > I'm thinking of just giving up on seeing dentists, unless I get > serious pain or something. > > TIA, > > > > > <HTML><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN " " http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd " ><BODY><FONT FACE= " monospace " SIZE= " 3 " > > <B>IMPORTANT ADDRESSES</B> > <UL> > <LI><B><A HREF= " / " >NATIVE NUTRITION</A></B> online</LI> > <LI><B><A HREF= " http://onibasu.com/ " >SEARCH</A></B> the entire message archive with Onibasu</LI> > </UL></FONT> > <PRE><FONT FACE= " monospace " SIZE= " 3 " ><B><A HREF= " mailto: -owner " >LIST OWNER:</A></B> Idol > <B>MODERATORS:</B> Heidi Schuppenhauer > Wanita Sears > </FONT></PRE> > </BODY> > </HTML> >

I certainly wouldn't want any more radiation than absolutely necessary, but I suppose it depends on what you have to worry about. >While we're on the subject...do you think cleaning at the dentist's is >necessary every 6months-a year? Doubtful. The Perfect Prescription people seem to think that soap is all that's necessary, and I think cleaning damages the enamel. >I'm thinking of just giving up on seeing dentists, unless I get >serious pain or something. I haven't seen a dentist since I was a little kid, and I'm definitely less badly off because of it. But that doesn't mean they're not useful sometimes. -
Guest guest
Thanks and , I have very beautiful teeth (according to Sally Fallon herself!) and haven't had any problems since going NT and brushing with olive oil soap. I get a bit of tartar on one tooth, but I scrape it off myself. I would like to get my amalgams replaced, but I certainly wouldn't go to any ol' dentist for that. I get a bit of tartar on one tooth, but I scrape it off myself. Hi , What brand olive oil soap do you use? Is it available at a HFS? What do you use to scrape the tarter off your teeth? Thanks,

Yeah, if I had fillings I'd be super-ultra-mega-careful about getting them removed by the right person. -

Yeah. This (along with the expense) is why I've been super-ultra-mega-lazy about getting them removed. I only have 2 or 3 tiny fillings, but I do plan to get them out of my body some day. I was terribly compromised prior to having my amalgams removed in 1996 and I didn't have the money either. It was a last ditch attempt as I had tried everything else and continued to be plagued with strep, bronchial pnuemonia, colds, flu and any combination thereof on almost a monthly basis. I have not been sick for 9 years-since 1996.... until last week when I got a cold...a stellar track recored in my opinion! vsp > > > <HTML><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN " " http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd " ><BODY><FONT FACE= " monospace " SIZE= " 3 " > > <B>IMPORTANT ADDRESSES</B> > <UL> > <LI><B><A HREF= " / " >NATIVE NUTRITION</A></B> online</LI> > <LI><B><A HREF= " http://onibasu.com/ " >SEARCH</A></B> the entire message archive with Onibasu</LI> > </UL></FONT> > <PRE><FONT FACE= " monospace " SIZE= " 3 " ><B><A HREF= " mailto: -owner " >LIST OWNER:</A></B> Idol > <B>MODERATORS:</B> Heidi Schuppenhauer > Wanita Sears > </FONT></PRE> > </BODY> > </HTML> >

After years of skepticism about " heavy metal issues " , I have finally become convinced and next month start on the long-term project of getting my amalgams removed and replaced. What convinced me this was necessary? My chiropractor, who uses muscle testing and homeopathic remedies, has been telling me for over a year that my symptoms were due to " heavy metal dumping " . He'd prescribe a homeopathic remedy and I'd get better, usually quickly. Lately--ever since I've been drinking kefir and eating fermented foods (about 6 months)--I have a new symptom: what I call " sneezing fits " . In the middle of the night, I just wake up sneezing and can't stop. I kept thinking I must be allergic to the kefir or the ferments but repeated muscle testing did not show this to be the case. The only thing that helps is a heavy metal detox homeopathic product the chiro. recommended. I'm a believer now! I'm wondering if you followed any detox protocol or what you did to protect yourself during the removal? thanks, Dahlia
