Hi ,

I would want to know if these are serum levels or rbc levels, i.e. is he

measuring the potassium in the cells or in the serum of her blood? I'm

not an expert by any means but had an interesting experience viz

potassium: my serum levels were always normal but when I finally had an

rbc reading, my doctor told me she was amazed I wasn't dead!! no

hyperbole. I guess they were so low. When I began supplementing with

potassium, the changes in my health were truly enormous, i.e. went off

all thyroid meds, end of depression/anxiety, lots more energy, etc. All

my rbc levels were very low so I also increased magnesium also to great

effect. So, I think it is importnat for her to know which test is being

done in order to determine the correct remedy.

Also, how are her other mineral levels? Also are her sodium levels

normal? How about her aldosterone and cortisol? I ask because in my

(limited) experience, sodium and the hormones could be adrenal issues, and

I guess I'm thinking that the sodium and potassium are in relation to

each other, right? On the other hand, is she taking diuretics or any

other medication which might effect her potassium? Also, does she tend to

eat tons of potassium-rich foods?

HTH,

Dahlia
